Cryptocurrencies – Regulation and Supervision! We are glad to have Patrick Bont of FMA (financial market authority of Liechtenstein) who will speak about the regulatory environment for cryptocurrencies in general and how the supervisory body of Liechtenstein, the FMA, deals with it.
Too big to innovate? Marion Vogel will speak about the roots of blockchain technology and why so many stumble upon them.
The presentation will give you an overview about the ideological roots and motives of the blockchain technology movement.
What is the bigger picture of blockchain technology, integrated into today's socio-economic structures? Many blockchain ventures have to deal with challenges around technological, regulatory as well as business-model-adaption challenges.
Marion Vogel will explain how the Liechtenstein based blockchain project æternity is coping with them.
As usual we will do a news session and open mic-session after the talks provided that we have sufficient time left.
All will be followed by our networking apero.
The venue will be at the Kunstmuseum again.

There is still discussions going on and a solution is said to be far away.
Nevertheless the blockchain works properly although sometimes slow.
Other than Bitcoin Litecoin has just now implemented SegWit.
We had been aiming to do our next mid of May but an important speaker can only come end of June.
So we are still considering May but likely it will only be June.

We have now heard that the fork will not come and that instead the community probably will agree to increase the block-size to 4MB.
Since the announcement Bitcoins have risen quite significantly against USD.
